The following performers have been booked for the 2014 Winter Carnival of Magic:
Brian Gillis & Sisuepahn
A ten-time nominee for “Magician of the Year” by the famed Academy of Magical Arts (Academy Awards of Magic), Brian was named "World's Best Close-Up Magician for the New Millennium" on the television special The World Magic Awards.
Laotian born Sisuepahn combines the sexy image of Lucy Liu with the fast paced physical comedy of Jackie Chan. She adds an exotic Oriental mystique and comedic charm to her amazing demonstrations of Mentalism and Body Magic. After thousands of hours of assiduous practice and research, Sisuepahn has mastered Psychic/Comedy/Body-Magic techniques that have not been witnessed in over a century.
The sexy duo of Brian Gillis & Sisuepahn have been fascinating audiences with a mind-blowing blend of Mentalism and “Body Magic” that defies the laws of physics. Their show is highly interactive; fast-paced, and VERY funny. Audiences lose sleep trying to figure out what they just witnessed and the laughter is nonstop. Brian and Sisuepahn do not perform traditional Sleight-of-Hand Magic or Mentalism. They achieve dimension by virtue of the fact that they have such an interactive show. They have created a show that is designed to mystify.http://www.gillismagic.com/
Dana Daniels, teamed with his Psychic Parrot Luigi (yes, a Psychic Parrot), have been entertaining around the country for companies such as McDonald’s, Lincoln Financial and Frito-Lay. Dana has opened for such stars as Ray Romano, Amy Grant, Vince Gill, Tony Orlando, Randy Travis, Gary Shandling and Charro. Some of his past accolades include; Comedy Magician of the Year (from the Academy of Magical Arts), Two time Stage Magician of the Year (from the Academy of Magical Arts), and the Jimmy Durante Comedy Award. Dana Daniels brings to the stage years of performing skill encompassing magic, juggling and improvisation wrapped up with impeccable comic timing.
Now, the Winter Carnival of Magic is pleased to host the "No Show" in its entirety during the Friday night stage show. No Acts, No Show, No Problem!
Dana portrays a somewhat clueless theatre janitor who is drafted into the show to cover for the missing performers. In a desperate need to "save the show", Master of Ceremonies and piano player, Richard Allen, implores Dana to perform all the acts including "Waldo the Magnificent", and "Francois the French Juggler". To close the show, Richard introduces "The Singing Partridge in a Pear Tree", but Dana has a different plan. Don't miss your opportunity to see this exceptionally side splitting show where none of the acts show up!
